3. Why we use your data
Each use has a legal basis under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Creating and running your account, letting you sign in, running your club and the shared game world | Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| Showing your club, results and forum posts to other players | Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| Sending service emails: account confirmation, password reset, auction and race notifications you have switched on | Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) |

4. Cookies
We use only strictly necessary cookies and local storage, so we do not ask for consent.
| Name / type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | Keeps you signed in and protects your account | Until you sign out, or up to 30 days |
| Security cookie | Protects forms against cross-site request forgery | Session |
| Language preference (local storage) | Remembers Italian or English | Until you clear it |
We do not use analytics, advertising or social-media tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set technical cookies needed to protect the site from attacks; see its cookie policy.
If we ever add optional cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
5. Who we share data with
We share data only with the providers that run the service, under data processing agreements.
| Provider | Role | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Hosting, database, backups, security, sending and forwarding emails | Global network, United States |
| Google LLC | "Continue with Google" sign-in (only if you use it) | United States |
Other players can see your club name, colours, athletes, results, records and forum posts. Your email address is never shown to other players. Private messages are visible only to you and the recipient, and to us only when needed to handle a report of abuse.
Transfers outside the EU. Some providers process data in the United States. These transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
We may disclose data to authorities when the law requires it.
6. How long we keep data
| Data | How long |
|---|---|
| Account and club data | As long as your account exists; deleted within 30 days after you delete the account |
| Game history (results, records, standings) | Kept in anonymised form after account deletion, so league history stays consistent |
| Forum posts | Shown as "former manager" after account deletion; you can ask us to remove them |
| Private messages | Deleted with your account |
| Technical logs | Up to 30 days |
| Backups | Up to 30 days, then overwritten |
| Support emails | Up to 12 months after the request is closed |
Beta note: during the beta we may reset game worlds. A reset removes game data but not your account, unless we tell you otherwise in advance.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
- access your data and get a copy;
- correct data that is wrong;
- delete your data (you can also delete your account yourself in Settings);
- restrict how we use it;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- object to uses based on legitimate interest.
Write to privacy@stridemanager.com from the email linked to your account. We answer within 30 days.
If you think we have not respected your rights, you can complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or to the authority of the EU country where you live.
8. Children, security and changes
Minimum age. You must be at least 14 years old to create an account. If we learn that an account belongs to someone younger, we delete it.
Security. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes, connections use HTTPS, and access to the database is limited to the developer. No system is perfectly secure: if a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the authority as the law requires.
Changes. We may update this policy as the game grows, for example when we add payments after the beta. We will show the new date at the top and notify registered players of important changes by email or in the game.
